Why Use Signal?
Signal is an encrypted chat messaging app. You can text, send photos and links, all the usual stuff. Unlike other such apps, your messages are fully encrypted. No one who isn’t physically holding your phone and past your log-in screen can see your messages. That means no one at Signal, Android, Apple, Meta, your cell provider, your internet provider – none of them can use the info in your messages to advertise to you, nor can they share it with government or law enforcement.
Download Signal from your app store for free! Signal is open-source and funded by donations. You can read more about them and donate at signal.org. You can also download a desktop version IF you also have it installed on your phone.

We reject all forms of political violence and intimidation, no matter the source or the target.
We are up against a movement that feeds on fear and chaos. Our answer is a movement grounded in courage, solidarity, and the unshakable belief that a better, more just democracy is worth fighting for—together.
We have two presences on Signal. Our group chat is for casual ongoing conversation, whereas only admins will ever post in the broadcast thread. This means you have the choice to turn notifications off and pop in and out of the group chat, while leaving notifications on the hear upcoming announcements.
In order to join the collaboration group chat, you must request access through the secure form link. The only people who will see that are a small, trusted team, and no info from your form will ever be shared in any way.
